Marvel is gearing up for a massive Avengers movie! The next installment, currently untitled, is reportedly bringing together a huge cast of over 60 characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is a big shift from previous Avengers films that focused on a core group of heroes. Director Shawn Levy, known for his work on “Deadpool & Wolverine,” is in talks to helm this ambitious project.
This movie seems like it will be a culmination of sorts for the MCU’s “Multiverse Saga.” Some of the rumored stars include familiar faces like Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) alongside newer heroes like Simu Liu (Shang-Chi). This film was originally intended to tie into the “Kang Dynasty” storyline with Jonathan Majors as the villain Kang the Conqueror. However, after Majors’ departure from the project, Marvel reportedly scrapped that title and is moving away from the Kang storyline altogether. The new script, written by Michael Waldron (Loki season 1, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), is yet to be officially announced.
