Somebody out there swears they have read the entire Avengers: Doomsday script, and Marvel fandom has spent the weekend losing its collective mind over it. An alleged Avengers Doomsday plot leak is tearing across X right now, racking up more than 3.3 million views since user @Nomoremutants22 posted it on Thursday, and it claims to spill everything: the opening attack, the body count, and an ending where Doctor Doom simply wins.
Before you clear your December calendar for a funeral, know this: the writeup reads like it was translated from another language, and even the sites covering it are waving caution flags. But the beats are so wild, and line up so neatly with earlier leaks, that everyone is talking about it anyway. So let us get into it.
What does the Avengers Doomsday plot leak claim?
The leak opens with an incursion. The X-Men universe, Earth-10005, the old Fox world, comes crashing into another reality, wiping out New York and New Jersey in the process. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is right in the middle of it, reportedly battling Deadpool and Wolverine while trying and failing to stop a bomb built by Magneto. If that sounds familiar, it should: it matches the opening battle leak we covered earlier this week almost beat for beat.
Then comes the emotional core. Steve Rogers, living out his happy ending with Peggy Carter after Endgame, gets a visit from Loki with catastrophic news: their cosy little timeline is snapping the multiverse in half. The pair end up transported into the Fantastic Four’s universe, where they spend ten whole years before the main plot kicks off. We should have known that dance was too good to last.
Who dies in the leaked Doomsday plot?
Deep breath. The Avengers Doomsday plot leak claims we lose Bucky, Shuri, Charles Xavier, Mystique, Nightcrawler and, yes, Ghost Rider, who is apparently in this movie just long enough to die in it. Sue Storm and little Franklin Richards are kidnapped by Doom rather than killed, which is arguably worse for Reed.
Doom himself gets a genuinely tragic engine: the leak says Victor lost his family the moment Steve’s timeline jump wrecked one of his experiments, and everything he does, including quietly manipulating Doctor Strange and Clea, is about rebuilding the multiverse to bring them back. The finale allegedly sees Strange complete a spell powered by Loki’s heart and Wanda’s stolen magic, two Earths collide, and reality itself comes apart. Doom ends the film in gleaming white armour, seated calmly beside Strange, victorious. That is God Emperor Doom cosplay if we have ever seen it, and a straight runway into Secret Wars and Battleworld.
So is the Avengers Doomsday plot leak real?
Here is our honest read. The bones of this thing, the incursion opening, Steve and Peggy’s exile, Doom’s stolen-family motive, rhyme suspiciously well with credible bits and pieces that have leaked all summer, including those scarred Doom images that circulated this week. But the connective tissue reads like fan fiction lovingly stitched over real fragments, and the clunky phrasing suggests it passed through at least one translation on its way to your feed.
There is also the misdirection factor. Marvel reportedly seeded fake plot documents during the Spider-Man: Brand New Day run, and Robert Downey Jr himself has joked that secrecy is the only antidote this production has left. A leak this complete, this early, landing this cleanly? Take it with a grain of salt roughly the size of Latveria.
What happens next
Marvel Studios will not comment, because Marvel Studios never comments. The real answer arrives when Avengers: Doomsday hits cinemas this December, with the marketing blitz expected to ramp up within weeks, and every trailer will now be scanned frame by frame against this document. If even half of it is real, this is the darkest Avengers film ever made. So tell us: which of these beats do you actually want to be true, and which one would make you walk out of the cinema?
