In honour of the rerelease of all eight live-action Spider-Man movies, which begins next month, Sony Pictures has unveiled a brand-new teaser. A clip informing viewers that the beloved web crawler would be making a comeback to theatres on 15 April was published and shared by Sony. In the teaser, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland are shown portraying the superhero in three distinct time periods. The group of three is also included in Spider-Man: No Way Home’s trailer. See the entire trailer down below.

Beginning next month, fans will be able to see all three of the main Spider-Man actors on screen. Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man will be the first movie to hit theatres. The other live-action films will then follow, with a week between each release. Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), Spider-Man 3 (2007), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) are the complete list of Spider-Man films that will be returning to theatres.

Sony is enjoying the simultaneous release of all eight live-action Spider-Man flicks in theatres, despite harsh criticism directed against their own cinematic universe. In recent years, the Sony Universe of Marvel Characters, or SUMC, has seen a number of critical and commercial setbacks. The most recent of these is Madame Web, which premiered on Rotten Tomatoes with a 47% audience score and a 13% critics score. Notably, the Dakota Johnson-starring movie has also faced criticism from its own cast members, with Sydney Sweeney ridiculing Madame Web in her Saturday Night Live cold open. The studio is allegedly not thrilled with Dakota Johnson in particular as a result of this public criticism. Many at Sony are reportedly doubting Johnson’s star power, and the way she handled this setback will probably come back to haunt her. This is according to a source who claims Sony forewarned Johnson about her remarks. Additionally, the insider said, “It’s not like every movie will succeed, but even bad movies require a lot of work, so it’s a bad look for your star to shit on it.”
