In a vibrant MCU fan poster, Marvel’s canceled team-up television series finally comes to life.A new fan-made poster for the show’s MCU revival brings the canceled Daughters of the Dragon series from Marvel Television to life. Marvel Television began producing TV series for Netflix in 2015 with Daredevil. The series culminated in The Defenders, in which Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist joined forces to fight the Hand. Marvel’s Netflix series, which showcased a more sophisticated side of the MCU, were highly well-liked. However, they were all canceled in 2018 and 2019, and while some actors have returned to their original roles in the MCU, it is debatable whether or not these shows are canonical. Colleen Wing of Iron Fist and Misty Knight of Luke Cage were slated to direct their own Marvel Television spinoff, Daughters of the Dragon, in a manner similar to how Jon Bernthal’s portrayal of Frank Castle’s Punisher in Daredevil led to his own spinoff. A fan-made Daughters of the Dragon poster for the MCU featuring Jessica Henwick and Simone Missick has been shared by Bensolo Cup.

The fan-made Daughters of the Dragon poster features Colleen Wing and Misty Knight in their comic-accurate costumes, complete with Colleen Wing’s chi-powered sword and Misty Knight’s upgraded robotic arm. It’s unclear, though, if the two will ever be seen together in the MCU.

In September 2018, after Jessica Henwick and Simone Missick made their debuts in Iron Fist and Luke Cage, respectively, Marvel Television head Jeph Loeb announced that a Daughters of the Dragon series was planned for Netflix’s Defenders Saga. The two battled together for the first time in The Defenders. In 2018, Missick joined Iron Fist’s cast for season 2, ahead of the spinoff’s development. However, Iron Fist was canceled in October of that same year, and the other Marvel Television series quickly followed suit. In a 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Daredevil and Luke Cage director Marc Jobst reaffirmed plans for a Daughters of the Dragon spinoff. The futures of the beloved characters from Marvel Television were left up in the air for a while, but Phase 4 of the MCU saw the return of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, and Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil. Phase 5’s Daredevil: Born Again will include Hawkeye, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the new Marvel Studios Echo series as its major characters. Jon Bernthal, resuming his role as the Punisher, will also be joining them. This opens the door for Henwick and Missick to make their MCU comebacks as Colleen Wing and Misty Knight, respectively, possibly reviving the Daughters of the Dragon after five years.
