As the release date approaches, Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder the cab driver in Deadpool & Wolverine, hopes that moviegoers won’t give away any plot points. Soni stated in an interview during the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival that there are still a lot of plot points that people are unaware of. The actor declared, “They’re definitely giving it all the resources.” “The audience is in for a treat since there are several surprises and things they are unaware of. Thus, I anticipate having fun with it. And as the day approaches, I hope that nobody ruins it because I believe seeing the entire thing will be entertaining.” Soni added that Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, will utilise his MCU debut to poke fun at the franchise’s earlier works. “That was the first time in the MCU, and you really do feel like Ryan is taking advantage of that,” he said. “But since the MCU is going through a transitional period itself, I believe this seems fitting. It seems like the audience is ready for them to poke fun at some of the material. Ryan is undoubtedly making fun of everything, including the studio.”

Executive producer of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige collaborated closely with filmmaker Shawn Levy and was thrilled to be the subject of several jokes. “We went into the soundstage after I got the scene, which was maybe the day before, and he just appeared next to Hugh Jackman. I was like, ‘I don’t know what’s happening.'” Soni said, “It was really strange, but he was so polite and compassionate. “He came up and said hi to all of us from the original films and stuff, and he seemed excited by what was happening.” Soni previously discussed how, prior to Disney’s 2019 acquisition of 20th Century Fox, Deadpool & Wolverine told a distinct tale. “I think it’s online a little bit, so I can share,” he said. “The initial plan was for Deadpool to attempt to rescue Christmas in a road trip film. So everyone travels to the North Pole.” Along with being “ultra-secretive,” the actor said the MCU version had a lot of unexpected guests. “Let’s just say a lot of people travelled to London,” he said, giving a preview of what would happen.
