Another star from the original series will return in Daredevil: Born Again

It’s been claimed that Daredevil: Born Again, the impending sequel to the previous Daredevil series, would feature a comeback from another original performer. Wilson Bethel will return to Daredevil: Born Again to play his character from Daredevil Season 3, according to rumours. The role of Benjamin Poindexter, the future supervillain Bullseye, was portrayed by Bethel. Bullseye’s role in Daredevil: Born Again is yet unknown, as is the possibility of more cast members from the first Daredevil series joining the new series at some point. The revelation that Daredevil and its associated spinoffs have been formally acknowledged as canonical MCU content precedes the casting announcement. During the first stages of production, it was suggested that Daredevil: Born Again would centre on a combination of Kingpin and Daredevil, characters portrayed by Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox, respectively. Later, the show’s development would be halted midway through and given a whole creative reboot; at that time, it was determined to approach the project more as a straight sequel to Daredevil.

It was not initially intended for fan favourites Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson to reprise their respective roles as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. The two would also be returning, according to recent reports; this development results from connecting Born Again to the first Daredevil. It’s also important to remember, though, that Sandrine Holt was first revealed to portray Ayelet Zurer’s prior role as Vanessa Fisk in Born Again. Although Zurer has previously stated she would be open to returning if asked, it is unknown if Holt will keep her part following the show’s creative reset. It was already revealed that Jon Bernthal, star of The Punisher, would make a second reappearance in Daredevil: Born Again, playing Frank Castle. Given that the MCU’s canon now recognises the other programmes in the “Defenders Saga,” such as Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage, there’s always a chance that some of those other series’ performers will wind up making cameos. In any event, for fans of the original series, these modifications may only make Daredevil: Born Again much more anticipated.
