After their work on Disney+, the actor made a joke about “needing some time away from Anthony (Mackie).” However, there is definitely reason to believe that they will work together again in the upcoming Captain America standalone film.

Captain America 4: What Role Does Bucky Play?

While Bucky won’t appear much in this upcoming film, Thunderbolts will alter that by giving him his first main role since his Disney+ programme in 2021. And with that in the works, he will continue to play an important role in the MCU for at least the foreseeable future.
