Deadpool 2 star provides a depressing update on Wolverine and Deadpool’s return

In Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds will be accompanied by a number of his former co-stars from the Deadpool films, but Julian Dennison is not one of them. Julian Dennison is most known for his iconic performance as Firefist, a mutant with pyrokinetic abilities who is pursued by Cable (Josh Brolin) in Deadpool 2. In an interview promoting his latest movie, Y2K, Dennison was questioned about whether he will be playing Firefist in Deadpool & Wolverine again. The actor really doubted his comeback when he stated he is not in the sequel. “Unfortunately, you won’t see me in it,” Dennison said when asked if he will be back for the upcoming movie. However, I can’t wait for others to see it. I’m going to get a ticket in order to see it. Hey, what can you do? It is what it is.

This comes after a few of Dennison’s Deadpool 2 co-stars hinted that they would not be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine. In a recent interview from February, Josh Brolin joked that the reason he wouldn’t reprise his role as Cable for the movie was because “Ryan Reynolds doesn’t like” him. Actress Zazie Beetz of Domino also stated plainly in 2023, “I’m actually not in Deadpool 3.” Naturally, a casting director’s rejection does not mean that the cameo will not occur. There’s always a chance that these performers are trying to be subtle in order to keep spoilers from being revealed. Marvel fans will always wonder whether stars from a certain film will truly appear, given that Andrew Garfield spent months saying in interviews that he wasn’t in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Regardless, a few well-known characters from the Deadpool franchise have been confirmed to make an appearance in the follow-up. Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Lewis Tan (Shatterstar), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Rob Delaney (Peter), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), and Stefan Kapičić (Colossus) are some of the characters whose names are included in this list. Deadpool and Wolverine is being directed by Shawn Levy. Fans have been waiting years to see the realisation of a dream project that stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in their respective roles as Wolverine and Deadpool. With the teaser teasing the return of at least one celebrity from the first two X-Men films, a wide range of unexpected cameos are anticipated. Emma Corrin will also make her screen debut as Cassandra Nova, the antagonist of the follow-up film.
