The actor conveyed his interest in reprising the character, specifically the Agent Venom iteration, expressing a willingness to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially if it aligns with the right project.

Amid discussions about his potential Marvel return, Manganiello also addressed the possibility of a Deathstroke origin series on HBO Max. He sees the series as a unique and enjoyable project with its own tone, offering something distinct within the current entertainment landscape. Manganiello’s vision for the Deathstroke series highlights his commitment to bringing a fresh and engaging perspective to the character, irrespective of the challenges and changes faced by the DC Universe in recent years.

While Manganiello’s Deathstroke has yet to materialize fully in the DC Extended Universe, he shared insights into the character’s journey, revealing that plans for an origin film were in the works but ultimately fell through. Despite initial setbacks, the actor’s involvement in Justice League was revitalized with a retooled post-credits scene, reigniting the anticipation for his portrayal of Deathstroke and hinting at the potential for the character’s future in a hypothetical Justice League 2.
