Olivia Munn, a cast member of X-Men, disclosed that she had been battling an aggressive kind of breast cancer since the previous year. Munn informed her fans and followers of her condition in an Instagram post. “In the past ten months, I have had four surgeries,” wrote Munn. “I’ve spent more days in bed than I can even count, and I’ve learned more than I could have ever dreamed about hormones, cancer, and cancer therapy. Remarkably, I’ve only shed two tears. I suppose I haven’t felt as though I have enough time to weep. I became more focused and pushed aside any feelings that I thought might cloud my judgement.” Munn disclosed that she is presently experiencing remission. The whole Munn post may be read below.

Munn’s career has included several high-profile cinematic appearances. She made her screen debut in the television series Beyond the Break. She then costarred in the horror thriller Deliver Us From Evil and collaborated with Steven Soderbergh on the first Magic Mike movie. In addition, Munn has had appearances in two superhero films. The first was Iron Man 2, which came out in 2009. Munn later played the mutant Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse, which was released in 2016. Alongside John Mulaney, who gave an award during the presentation, the actor attended this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.

Munn has already acknowledged that she is a fan of Marvel Comics, therefore her portrayal of Psylocke in X-Men Apocalypse was a personal one for her. Munn claims that this caused conflict with director Bryan Singer as well as some unhappiness with the way the character took.Regarding Marvel fans’ outcry over her X-Men project, Munn remarked, “I think that people wouldn’t get so crazy if it was just a really great movie.””I was very shocked to learn that Psylocke’s twin brother was unknown to both writer Kinberg and director Singer when I was working on X-Men.And it was really annoying for me as a fan to have to educate them on a variety of topics pertaining to Psylocke and other unknown regions of the globe.” The movie X-Men: Apocalypse eventually failed to win over both reviewers and fans. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie received reviews of 47% and 65% from critics and viewers, respectively. Many critics criticised the movie for being bloated and an unmemorable part of Fox’s X-Men franchise.
