Filming on Deadpool 3, the only movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe scheduled for release in 2024, has officially ended, as Dogpool confirmed in a biting statement. Dogpool said, “We worked our pants off, but it was worth it,” complimenting Shawn Levy, the director, and the crew for their professionalism. Dogpool acknowledged that one individual was “a little extra to deal with,” seemingly aimed at actor Ryan Reynolds, but he was still enjoying the experience and didn’t want to alter a thing. Dogpool granted Reynolds his forgiveness, but he also acknowledged that he had left a “very special, warm, personal gift in his caravan.”
Reynolds confirmed the conclusion of Deadpool 3 production with an emotional post on X shortly after Dogpool’s post, along with a set shot. Taking a playful jab at Jackman, the Wade Wilson actor said that the conclusion of production was met with “mostly tears” after principal photography encountered several difficulties, including inclement weather and the SAG-AFTRA strike. Filming on the Deadpool 3 sequel was started in November of last year, following a several-month production hiatus caused by the strike. In the most recent Deadpool movie, Dogpool will be among multiple “Merc With a Mouth” incarnations to make an appearance. Kidpool, Lady Deadpool, and other characters are all expected to make an appearance. Shortly after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended, Reynolds revealed the first image of Dogpool, who was wearing Deadpool’s well-known colours. In Marvel Comics, Dogpool also known as Mascara X was a member of the Deadpool Corps. Like Wade’s alter ego, the dog had a regenerative healing power and was outspoken.
Along with Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Deadpool 3 will also reportedly have appearances from Taron Egerton, Taylor Swift, and Halle Berry. The threequel’s alleged description explains that, “After encountering some career failures and going through a midlife crisis, Wade Wilson chooses to formally retire Deadpool and becomes a used car salesman. But Deadpool pulls his katanas from retirement when it comes to his friends, family, and the entire planet. In order to battle for their legacy in the end as well as their existence, he enlists a reluctant and cautious Wolverine.” Even though it is titled Deadpool 3, Marvel is presently promoting the movie as Untitled Deadpool Movie, presumably implying that the official title will be revealed eventually. Deadpool 3’s first trailer is reportedly set to premiere on February 11 during Super Bowl LVIII. The movie, the first R-rated picture in the MCU, was originally scheduled to open in 2024, but a number of scheduling adjustments brought about by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes delayed its release.
