Secret Invasion just introduced the MCU’s most powerful hero

The Secret Invasion climax delivered a powerful punch. The sixth and final episode of Marvel’s latest Disney+ series sets up a climactic showdown between Nick Fury and Gravik, with Fury’s prospects looking dismal as he approaches the Skrulls’ radioactive camp. The episode’s final minutes, however, pull the bait and switch that viewers might anticipate from a show about alien shapeshifters: Gravik’s opponent is not Fury at all, but G’iah. The surprise is revealed when Fury appears to have given up the Harvest – the DNA samples taken from all of The Avengers, Thanos, and the Black Order during the Battle of Earth. Gravik utilises the DNA to begin his transition into the ultimate Super-Skrull, but the process affects Fury as well. Fury reveals himself to be G’iah in disguise after countering Gravik’s initial attack. G’iah overcomes Gravik and is then recruited by Sonya Falsworth, who sensibly states that she does not want to confront G’iah. G’iah, on the other hand, has become the MCU’s most powerful living entity as a result of her change.

The Super-Skrull has historically had the Fantastic Four’s powers in Marvel Comics history. Given that the Fantastic Four have yet to make their MCU debut, Secret Invasion found a link by giving Gravik’s Super-Skrulls powers from Groot, Cull Obsidian, a Frost Beast, and Extremis. Gravik, on the other hand, goes a step further in “Home” by utilising the Harvest to change his and G’iah’s DNA. This gives them the abilities of every Avenger who participated in the Battle of Earth, as well as Thanos and his Black Order enforcers. G’iah’s last confrontation with Gravik demonstrates how strong she has grown. She is shown employing the superhuman strength of heroes like as the Hulk, Korg, and Thanos himself, as well as the various psychic skills of Ebony Maw and Mantis, to eventually overcome Gravik using Captain Marvel’s energy projection abilities. G’iah has been turned into a genuinely godlike creature by the huge array of superpowers he has inherited from all of Earth’s mightiest heroes and the biggest villains they have ever encountered. While she appears to be keeping a low profile for the time being, working in a secret capacity for Sonya Falsworth, she might prove to be The Avengers’ most powerful ally in future battles for the destiny of the planet.

Secret Invasion concludes with a suggestion that the war between humans and Skrulls is far from ended. G’iah discovers hundreds of captured unconscious humans beside Falsworth, who are evidently being utilised as templates for Skrull operations. President Ritson also declares open war on the Skrulls who have entered Earth, ushering in a new era of enmity between humans and the extraterrestrial shapeshifters. G’iah has definitely taken on a tough new role in the upcoming conflict, attempting to accomplish her father’s aim of forging peace between humans and Skrulls. Her new skills, on the other hand, should make her more than a match for anyone who attempts to stop her. G’iah appears to have been abruptly murdered off by Gravik with a gunshot to the head halfway through Secret Invasion. Fans were concerned that Marvel had squandered Emilia Clarke’s MCU role, killing her out before her character arc could be completed. It is now evident that the objective was not only to keep G’iah alive, but also to make her one of the most essential characters in the MCU. It’s unclear what more Marvel has in store for the character, but her unrivalled power set ensures she’ll play a significant role in future MCU tales.
