The highly anticipated sequel to the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is expected to have a domestic box office debut of $70-80 million during the June 2-4 weekend, according to early tracking data. The film follows the multiverse adventures of Marvel’s Miles Morales/Spider-Man and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman and features a new cast member, Issa Rae. The film’s producers and writers, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, are returning for the sequel, which will be followed by another sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, in 2024. Other films, such as The Little Mermaid and Fast X, also received revised opening forecasts.
