Actor Vinnie Jones of X-Men: The Last Stand will not be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine with some of his fellow franchise performers. Other well-known characters from the X-Men film series will be returning in Deadpool & Wolverine, in addition to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the title roles. One of the actors that fans may look forward to seeing is Vinnie Jones, who portrayed Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand. Jones, who has already spoken out about the bad experience he had while filming the 2006 X-Men sequel, discussed it in a recent interview. In the latest interview, Jones recounted how eager he was to work on the film with Matthew Vaughn, until Brett Ratner took over as director and ruined Juggernaut’s language.

“Well, Matthew was the director on that, Matthew Vaughn, and then he bailed on it,” Jones clarified. “I got a call from him asking whether I had signed my contract yet. “No, why?” I exclaimed. “I’m not going to do it,” he declared. A new director will be hired by them. When the new director took over, the position was different from what I had agreed to accomplish. They made the conversation less meaningful. It was an important job. You know, I’ve really stated it out loud. The Juggernaut was the only one that was compromised by the director’s several other moving pieces. It didn’t, you know? I quickly lost interest since I saw they were only moving me forward. You know what I mean? I felt angry. I was furious that I was cast as an extra in such a major motion picture on such a grand platform. That’s the actual event that occurred.” Jones continued by describing how Brett Ratner discovered his famous line from the movie “I’m the juggernaut, bitch!” online and had it inserted in post-production. Even though he had that special moment, Jones expressed his disappointment with the way his character’s goals were altered, calling it “very disappointing.” “I was going in going, ‘Where’s all my dialogue?'” the actor said. Where is the narrative? Brett would sit there as the great director while other directors directed. It was disarray to me. It was unfortunate. I was upset when it was revealed. Very offended… Someone trashed my character.”

Although Vinnie Jones expressed displeasure at Juggernaut’s reduced role in X-Men: The Last Stand, he has since bid farewell to the character and has no desire to don that costume again. Despite enjoying the concept of working on a Deadpool movie, Jones was quick to turn down an invitation to reprise his role as Juggernaut for a special appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor said that this was because wearing the Juggernaut costume was extremely demanding, and the compensation provided didn’t appear to be worth it for Jones. “Funny enough, I just got asked to do Deadpool, the new one that’s coming out now,” remarked Jones. “I told the director, ‘It’s quite a drama, both mentally and physically, putting that suit on.'” Because you’re in it and unable to move for the entire day, it also took a toll on your mental health. Drinking is restricted to straws. We were unable to come to an agreement regarding Deadpool, but in all honesty, Deadpool is, for the most part, my all-time favourite fucking movie. They didn’t have the money to put me in the outfit, even though I really wanted to.”
