Marvel’s Echo, which is now streaming on both Hulu and Disney+, has surprised fans with its connection to Agents of SHIELD. While the show features the return of several popular characters from Daredevil, it also includes two actors from Agents of SHIELD, Andrew Howard and Thomas E. Sullivan. However, neither of them reprised their roles from the original series. Howard played the character of Zane, an employee of Kingpin, in three episodes of Echo, while Sullivan portrayed the character of Victor “Vickie” Tyson in the show.

Despite not reprising their roles from Agents of SHIELD, the presence of Howard and Sullivan in Echo has left fans wondering whether there may be more connections between the two shows. Moreover, Echo has a surprising connection to Eternals, as the film’s super speedster Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) is also deaf, and the film has a big behind-the-scenes connection to Echo. Douglas Ridloff, a deaf artist and poet, served as a consultant on both Eternals and Echo.

It is clear that Echo has been made with a lot of care and attention to detail. As per the reviews, the show is a gripping and emotional journey, expertly directed by Deborah Chow. The cast, including Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, and Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, all deliver fantastic performances. Here, it is clear that everyone on screen and off cares about the work they’re doing, invested in the story “Echo” is trying to tell. Overall, Marvel’s Echo is a must-watch for fans of the MCU and fans of great storytelling alike.
