The mention of one new MCU figure may be crucial to Matt Murdock’s ongoing growth in Marvel Television’s upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, while a new deleted clip from Loki season 2 has surfaced. As Loki season 2 came to a close in November 2023, Tom Hiddleston’s erstwhile God of Mischief emerged as the MCU’s most potent figure and the only guardian of the whole multiverse. A recently removed clip from Loki season 2 reveals how many people he has battled over the years, proving that he hasn’t always been a hero. Following the conclusion of the first season, in which Sylvie killed He Who Remains and sent Loki back to the Time Variance Authority, the second season of Loki began. In November 2024, Variety unveiled a new deleted scene that exemplifies the increased potential for bonding between Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius. As he names a number of people he has hurt, including one who has long-standing ties to Matt Murdock’s Daredevil, this sequence highlights how terrible Loki had been while also showcasing a beautiful moment between the two.
The Absorbing Man is one of the many names Loki mentions as those he has mistreated throughout the years. At first, he was a strange addition to the list, but it makes sense that he would be given the history of Carl Creel and Loki in Marvel Comics. In the post-credits sequence in Thor: Love and Thunder, Brett Goldstein made his MCU debut as Zeus’ son Hercules, paving the way for a larger part in the as-yet-unannounced Thor 5.
