Thor might be about to walk into Avengers Doomsday with an army of the dead behind him, and two names in that army are faces we already watched die on screen. The scooper wire is buzzing that Jane Foster and Heimdall are on the comeback list, and honestly, the idea is a lot harder to laugh off than it sounds.

The short version: when Thor calls for backup in Avengers Doomsday, the help reportedly comes straight out of Valhalla. Scooper MyTimeToShineHello floated it months ago, saying the army Thor receives arrives from the Asgardian afterlife, which would open the door for characters who are supposed to be gone for good.
The Cosmic Circus reporter Alex Perez, who tends to land more than he misses, has since backed the broad strokes, reporting that Asgardians we have not seen since Thor: Ragnarok will turn up to fight alongside Thor. Other posts have pushed the list as far as seven returning MCU faces, with Jane Foster and Heimdall the two everybody keeps circling.

Why Jane Foster and Heimdall make sense
This is where the rumour stops sounding random. Thor: Love and Thunder literally ended with Jane Foster walking into Valhalla, and Heimdall was the one who confirmed the place was real when he passed through it. Marvel has not just left a door open here, it painted an arrow pointing at it.
Then there is the multiverse of it all. Avengers Doomsday is Doctor Doom tearing holes between realities, and once variants and incursions are on the table, “dead” becomes a very soft word. What tips us toward believing it is how well it lines up with the footage Marvel showed at D23, where Thor asks for the strength of the All-Fathers.
